Steps to Work have been helping people across the West Midlands to overcome their barriers and get back into work since 1999. With almost 20 years of providing positive social impact across the region Steps to Work were delighted on Friday the 9th of November to be awarded the Social Impact Champion Award at the Black Country Chamber Awards event at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
The evening was hosted by comedian Milton Jones and recognised the best and most influential individuals and businesses across the Black Country.
When announcing that Steps to Work had been awarded the Social Impact Champion award, the judges said “it was hard to ignore the huge impact that Steps to Work have had on the local area, especially in helping other charities to access funding”.
Another judge said they were totally blown away by how much Steps to Work does for so many people and the scale of our work.
Steps to Work CEO James Walsh said “We are thrilled to have been recognised for our hard work across the Black Country. We have always been committed to social impact and we are dedicated to not only helping individuals to overcome their barriers but to helping other not for profit organisations to access the skills and knowledge they need to continue the work they do. This award means a lot to us as an organisation and shows that the work we are doing is having a really positive impact on the local area. We look forward to many more years of providing social impact and achieving our aims.”
