Building Better Opportunities for people with Mental Health Problems.

We are looking to recruit a part time Vocational Specialist within the Black Country in Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.  The role will be based in Walsall but may be required to travel to various locations in Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton to support our client group.

You will be required to proactively manage a caseload of people who have experienced mental health problems who are unemployed and economically inactive. The Trust has secured funding from the Big Lottery and European Social Fund to provide employment support for our client group who are furthest away from the job market to move them closer to employment, in the hope that these achievements aid individuals’ recovery.   

The successful candidates will be part of Dudley and Walsall’s Employment Service, who are a Centre of Excellence for the Individual Placement and Support Model of Vocational Rehabilitation.

You will be working in the multi-disciplinary team with service users with complex needs identifying and supporting them move into employment and sustain this or other recovery and social inclusion goals, in conjunction with key stakeholders.  This would include educational, voluntary work and pre-vocational training opportunities, and support for employers on reasonable adjustments and retention of employees where necessary.
