Do you feel that a lack of confidence and self esteem may be holding you back from finding the employment that you want? If so the Confidence and Motivation course at Steps to Work is for you!

On this course you will learn how to improve your confidence, self esteem and motivation through a series of sessions where you will be encouraged to work as a team and improve your communication skills. The course also includes visits from inspiring members of the community who will offer their advice and wisdom and enable you to ask questions. Previous guests have been members of mental health charity The Samaritans, local councillor Chris Towe and the Mayor of Walsall.

The aim of the course is to help you to enhance your confidence and, in turn, enable you to job search more effectively and to feel more confident and motivated when attending job interviews. Learners may also go on to further their learning by joining one of our other courses on completion of the Confidence and Motivation course. Learners may decide to return and work on areas to improve such as English, maths and ICT skills or they may wish to progress on to accredited training which we can assist with.

If you would like more information or if you wish to enrol onto the course please contact the Teaching and Learning team on 01922 627555, contact us here or email [email protected]. This is an unaccredited course and is open to those who are over 19 years old, living in the Walsall borough and are in receipt of a benefit.

Course start dates for 2017/18: 6th September, 4th October, 8th November, 6th December, 17th January, 21st February, 21st March, 2nd May, 6th June
