We are celebrating 20 years in business on the 23rd of March!

Established in 1999, we have supported over 35,000 people across the Black Country and wider West Midlands to overcome their individual barriers and get back into work. Steps to Work supports those with disabilities, mental ill health, long term health conditions and more to improve their confidence and, ultimately, their quality of life through one to one support, training and guidance.

We are proud to be an Investors in People ‘Gold’ organisation, we are number 2 on the National Centre for Diversity’s Top 100 Index for 2019 and we are also an accredited Disability Confident Leader. Supporting the community and achieving high quality standards is something that we are dedicated to and immensely proud of. We also won the Social Impact Champion Award at the 2018 Black Country Chamber awards.

As well as supporting individuals to get back into employment, Steps to Work also provides commercial training to businesses which can be tailored to meet business needs. In the past this has included delivering employment guidance within companies making redundancies, working in partnership with sister company Starting Point Recruitment to assist long term employees facing redundancy to register with the recruitment agency, update their CVs and prepare for interviews. We are also a provider of accredited Mental Health First Aid training to support organisations to improve their knowledge of mental health.

“20 years of operation is a massive achievement and having been here since day one I’ve seen the company grow and flourish. We have a very dedicated team, many of whom have been with the company for a very long time and we are so proud of the work that we do every day. Helping people is our main purpose and over the years we’ve seen so many people overcome very complex barriers and turn their lives around with our help. Here’s to another 20 years!” – Crystina Woolley, Operations and Quality Manager.

We will be celebrating the milestone with stakeholders and employees on Friday the 22nd of March, a chance to reflect on all the fantastic things that we have achieved over the past twenty years.

Here's to the next 20 years!
