MP learns more about Bloxwich’s only ‘One Stop Employment Shop’

On the 9th November 2009, Francis Maude MP, Chair of the Conservative party, visited Work on the Horizon, situated on Bloxwich’s High Street.
Francis Maude MP met with ‘One Stop Manager’ Stephanie Hammond, her team and Steps to Work’s, Chief Executive John Brewer. The visit included a tour of the shops facilities and services, including the ICT suite where the team can provide free IT taster sessions to residents of Bloxwich East, Bloxwich West, Blakenhall, and Birchills Leamore. The IT taster course is just one of the many services the ‘One Stop Shop’ has on offer, other facilities include; interview technique sessions, information advice and guidance and signposting to other service’s fully tailored to the individuals needs.
“The services that are available to local residents are extraordinary and it’s great to see that this Government initiative is working so well” commented Francis Maude, MP.
“We are delighted to have a well known regional MP visit our Shop. Francis has taken an interest in the good work we are doing by supporting our community into employment or improving their employment opportunities. We would strongly recommend anyone who is looking for training or work to visit us and see how we can help you” added ‘One Stop Shop’ Manager, Stephanie Hammond.
