Future Routes Programme

PHASE 1 This will be a 6 week motivation course with wide range of positive activities, to develop personal and social skills The learners will complete part of a series of modules within the ASDAN Personal and Social Development qualification; these qualifications are available as an Award and Certificate at E1, E2, E3 and L1. The units consist of Working towards Goals, Working as Part of a Group and Dealing with Problems in Daily Life. We will make the modules activity based so the learner will enjoy participating while learning. The learners will receive £30.00 per week attendance allowance; also built into the programme will be rewards for project work completion While attending the course the learners will have Mentoring by a trusted adult have regular reviews and receive personalised advice and guidance The learners will also receive certificates in Drug Awareness, Debt Management, First Aid, Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Equal Opportunities and Disability Awareness. The project is designed not to be delivered wholly in a classroom but to include external activities. The learners will have the opportunity to attend various outdoor activities such as the Ackers where they will learn to ski and rock climb and also complete teambuilding tasks on the jungle challenge.
The learners should progress on to PHASE 2 This phase could be up to 20 weeks depending on the learner and the needs, the learner will the move on to work placements, we have a number of placements for the learner to try, they will also complete other modules from the ASDAN PSD to help them gain a higher certificate or award.
PHASE 3 Once learners have completed PHASE 2 it is anticipated they will progress to either • Further Education • Training such as E2E Programmes • Employment Opportunities • Other Learning The learner will have a dedicated project Officer who will mentor and monitor the learner for up to 3 months after they leave the project, the learner will be seen as many times as they feel necessary.
