Celebrating a decade of success!
Steps to Work celebrated ten years of success and Starting Point Recruitment celebrated five years of success on the 1st October 2009 at the Banks Stadium in Walsall.
Both companies celebrated memorable business success with an eclectic evening of live entertainment, evening dinner, dancing and a celebratory award ceremony to recognise our volunteers and achievers. Almost 250 guests including Board members, colleagues and affiliates, friends and past and present employees, shared in the celebration.
For the last 10 years Steps to Work has relentlessly continued to help local unemployed and employed people upgrade their skills and find sustainable employment. Steps to Work has assisted 21,431 people into employment and training since 1999. In addition 34,534 people have been assisted with the support from our subcontractors since 1999.
The evening was presented by the Chief Executive, John Brewer who gave an overview of the two companies past, present and future.
John Brewer said,
“Over the years both companies combined have worked to support over 23,000 people into work and achieved many milestones along the way. The success of the two companies’ is credit to the staff teams which have grown from a team of 4 to over 100. Our time so far has been memorable and we are now very much focused on the future and exploring new and innovative ways of supporting people in their search for training and employment”
The evening was a huge success, having the following comments from our guests:
