Senior Management Team:
John Brewer, Chief Executive
John has over 20 years experience in training and employment creation in areas such as Walsall, Birmingham and Liverpool. John was involved in setting up Steps to Work in 1999 and has been with the company ever since.
Sue Brooks, Administration and Finance Manager
Sue has more than 20 years experience in both the private and public sector, including a wide range of Government-funded programmes. Sue in an original member of the Steps to Work team and has been with the company since 1999. She is responsible for production of the charity accounts, all financial claims and general administration of grants.
Anne Ruddy, Senior Manager (Walsall)
Anne has over 13 years experience as a Project Co-coordinator/Manager for various training and economic regeneration projects across the region. Anne is an expert at dealing with different types of funding streams.
Trevor Codner, Senior Manager (Wolverhampton)
Trevor is highly experienced in Jobcentre Plus processes having previously worked in the industry for 15 years and an advisor to Senior Advisor then Management level. He has extensive knowledge of the New Deal process and government funded support programmes to tackle worklessness. He also has strong community links and works with local groups and employers.
Crystina Woolley, Management Information Manager
Crystina is an Education and Training Studies graduate with over 12 years experience of working with a wide range of Government-funded programmes. Crystina has been involved with Steps to Work from the beginning and has undertaken a wide range of roles during her time with us. As Management Information Manager, Crystina oversees the web based MI system and the compliance of Security and Contract Partners.
Jayne Griffiths, Quality Manager
Jayne has over 20 years experience in training and management gained in both the public and commercial sectors. Jayne has worked with a range of funded programmes. Her current role is as Quality Manager overseeing government inspections and ensuring quality is embedded throughout the organisation.
Dave Jones, Health & Safety & Facilities Officer
Dave is N.E.B.O.S.H qualified and has worked in Health and Safety for seven years. Dave is responsible for Health & Safety at five Steps to Work premises and is also responsible for carrying out risk assessments prior to clients going onto placements. Dave has vast experience and knowledge across a broad spectrum of industries. Dave also looks after facilities management at all STW sites and is currently working towards the companies ISO 14001 Environmental Business Management Accreditation.
Katie Sohal, Marketing Co-ordinator
Katie has been working for Steps to Work since 2008 and is responsible for the company’s Marketing and Communications. Katie co-ordinates the companies communications; such as, ‘Insight’ the Steps to Work newsletter, website, events management, media and PR.
Raj Sarai, Personnel Officer
Raj Sarai has 10 years experience in Personnel and Training and has been a Personnel Officer at Steps to Work since 2002. She has gained Chartered Status of the CIPD and has gained a Masters in Employment Law. Raj recently worked towards the companies Investors in People Gold Accreditation in 2010.
Alison Jefferies, Personnel Officer
Alison has 13 years experience in Personnel & Training, working in both Private and Public Sectors. Alison joined the Company in November 2009, Alison is CIPD qualified and has a BA (hons) Degree in Social Ethics. Alison has also gained her PTTL certificate, Preparing to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector and has experience of designing and delivering training courses. From working at Walsall College and with Life Long Learning UK, Alison has experience of working with Ofsted, IIP and the Education/Training environment.
